
SOCORRO COUNTY, NM — Emergency responders were called to a crash Wednesday morning on Interstate 25 in central Socorro, according to the New Mexico Department of Transportation.
The collision impacted the southbound lanes at milepost 149, south of Manzaneras Road. It was first reported by NMDOT at about 9:16 a.m.
Officials did not say what caused the wreck, but the right southbound lane was closed in the immediate aftermath. Motorists were advised to slow down and approach the area with caution as crews worked the scene. Traffic delays were projected.
As of this writing, no information indicating the cause of the accident, the number of vehicles involved, or any injuries has been shared.
