Accident blocks at least two lanes of I-40 in west Albuquerque

ALBUQUERQUE, NM — Authorities responded to a crash Wednesday morning that blocked a lane in both directions of Interstate 40 near west Albuquerque, according to KOAT.

The collision took place at Exit 149 to Atrisco Vista Boulevard, just west of the Westland Row area.

Details remain limited, but at the time of KOAT’s 6:43 a.m. report, traffic was seen passing slowly as emergency crews worked the scene.

New Mexico Department of Transportation cameras in the area showed a vehicle at rest in the median.

As of this writing, the cause of the wreck and the number of people involved have not been disclosed. No injuries have been confirmed.
