LINCOLN CO., NM – A motorcyclist was killed when he was hit by a vehicle near Lincoln last Thursday morning.
According to KOB.com, the crash occurred at about 6:20 a.m. as the motorcyclist was heading west on US-380 near Salazar Canyon. State Police say the driver of an eastbound Lincoln attempted to pass another vehicle and slammed head-on into the motorcyclist.
The driver of the motorcycle, 50-year-old Leonard Corona, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the Lincoln was unhurt. It is unclear if she will face any charges in connection to the deadly crash.
