5 hurt following multi-vehicle collision near McLeod Business Park

ALBUQUERQUE, NM – According to KOB, five people were hurt in a multi-vehicle crash near northbound Pan American Fwy NE and Jefferson St NE on Wednesday.

A green Dodge minivan driver failed to stop at a red light at the above intersection, colliding with four vehicles. Those vehicles then struck an unknown number of other cars.

Rescue crews transported three adults and one child to area hospitals with minor injuries. The minivan driver was taken to a local hospital in critical condition.

The Albuquerque Police Department is investigating the incident.

Semi-truck driver hits pedestrian near Interstate Business Park

ALBUQUERQUE, NM – A semi-truck driver hit a person near Montaño Rd NE and Culture Dr NE on Thursday, according to KOB.

The semi-truck driver was driving south on Culture Dr NE when they hit a woman sitting on the curb who had her legs in the road at around 2:30 a.m. The truck dragged the woman under the tire.

Rescue crews transported the woman to an area hospital with severe injuries to her leg.

Officials have not released the names of the victim or semi-truck driver.

Crash disrupts traffic near Duranes

ALBUQUERQUE, NM – According to KKOB Traffic, an auto accident closed down the right traffic lane at I-40 EB and Rio Grande Blvd on Thursday.

The incident was reported to authorities around 1:54 p.m.

It is unclear if anyone was hurt in the collision.
