4 injured in rollover accident on Highway 285 south of Roswell

CHAVES COUNTY, NM – Four people were injured in a rollover accident in Chaves County on Saturday, according to the Chaves County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies responded to the scene after a vehicle rolled several times in the area of Highway 285 and Shawnee Road south of Roswell.

Four people in the vehicle were said to be in need of medical attention, though no details were released on their injuries.

The deputies requested more medical and fire personnel to come to the scene and a medical helicopter to transport the injured to a hospital.

Crash blocks lane on I-25 northbound at the Big I

ALBUQUERQUE, NM – A crash disrupted traffic for drivers in Albuquerque during Tuesday morning’s commute.

According to an alert from NMRoads at about 8 a.m., the accident took place on Interstate 25 northbound at mile marker 225, in the area of Lomas Boulevard and Martin Luther King Jr. Avenue.

The left lane and left shoulder of the interstate were closed at the scene at the Big I. Officials urged motorists to expect delays and use caution.

Fatal accident reported at Paseo del Norte and Jefferson Street

ALBUQUERQUE, NM – Authorities were called to the scene of a fatal crash in Albuquerque early Monday morning.

An advisory on X from the Bernalillo County Sheriff’s Office shortly before 1 a.m. stated that deputies responded to the area of Paseo del Norte and Jefferson Street. No details were immediately released on who had been killed.

Westbound lanes were closed between the river and Coors Boulevard. Drivers were urged to seek alternate routes.
