4 hospitalized following fiery crash in Albuquerque

ALBUQUERQUE, NM – Four people were hospitalized following a multi-vehicle crash in Albuquerque last week, according to Albuquerque Fire Rescue.

Rescue crews were dispatched to the accident site shortly before 6:30 p.m. Thursday evening at Interstate 25 northbound and Montano Road. Calls reported that a vehicle had crashed into another vehicle and caught fire.

The first responders learned that a total of four vehicles were involved with one on fire. All the occupants were out of their vehicles, and it was reported that a bystander had helped them get out safely. Four people were transported to the hospital with injuries that were not life-threatening. No details were released on what led to the crash.

Crash blocks lanes on Rio Bravo Boulevard in South Valley

SOUTH VALLEY, NM – The Bernalillo County Sheriff’s Office issued a traffic alert due to a vehicle crash causing closures in the South Valley Saturday morning.

In a notification at 11:28 a.m., the BCSO said deputies were dispatched to the area of 2nd Street SW and Rio Bravo Boulevard SW.

All lanes of Rio Bravo Boulevard westbound were blocked while the roadway was being cleared of the wreck. Drivers were advised to expect delays near the scene.

Traffic slowed on I-25 north of Socorro due to accident

SOCORRO, NM – Traffic was slowed along a stretch of Interstate 25 Sunday afternoon due to a crash.

According to an advisory from NMRoads at 12:15 p.m., the accident took place on I-25 northbound at mile marker 154, four miles north of Socorro.

The right driving lane of the interstate was closed during the emergency response.
