CHAVES COUNTY, NM — Four people, including a patient, were hurt Tuesday evening when an ambulance overturned on U.S. Highway 70 in Roswell, reports KOB4.
The exact time and location of the wreck have not been confirmed, but it was reported on the eastbound highway shortly before 7:00 p.m.
Undersheriff Charles Yslas with the Chaves County Sheriff’s Office said the ambulance traveled across the median and flipped several times before coming to rest.
Two medics, a Curry County sheriff’s deputy, and a patient all suffered undisclosed injuries as a result of the rollover. All four were transported to an area hospital.
At this time, officials have not shared a possible cause of the crash, but an investigation was in progress.
