2 service members dead following crash on NM 9 in Santa Teresa

SANTA TERESA, NM – According to KRQE, a wreck claimed the lives of two service members on New Mexico 9 near the Santa Teresa Border Patrol Station Tuesday morning.

According to U.S. Northern Command, the service members were part of the Joint Task Force-Southern Border, deployed to the U.S.-Mexico border.

While no information regarding the circumstances has been released, officials say the crash occurred at around 8:50 a.m.

First responders transported a total of three people to an area hospital. Two people have died, and a third person is in critical condition.

Officials will release the deceased victims’ names once their next of kin are notified.

Deputies respond to hit-and-run in South Valley

SOUTH VALLEY, NM – Deputies were called to the scene of a hit-and-run collision at southbound Coors Boulevard Southwest and Blake Road Southwest Tuesday morning, according to the Bernalillo County Sheriff’s Office.

Dispatchers received calls concerning the incident at around 9:56 a.m.

At this time, the cause of the collision is under investigation, and officials continue to search for the involved driver.

Injury accident reported near Huning Highlands

ALBUQUERQUE, NM – According to APD Traffic, at least one person was hurt in a crash at Central Avenue Northeast and Broadway Boulevard Northeast Wednesday morning.

The incident was reported to authorities around 6:20 a.m.

Officials have not provided more information.
