ALBUQUERQUE, NM — Two people died Thursday morning after a collision involving five cars in Albuquerque’s Yale Village neighborhood, reports KOAT.
Albuquerque Police responded to the scene at Gibson Boulevard Southeast and Yale Boulevard Southeast, north of Albuquerque International Sunport.
It was not immediately clear what caused the multi-vehicle wreck, but authorities confirmed two people died as a result of their injuries.
The eastbound side of Gibson Boulevard was shut down in the area as an investigation was conducted.
No further details have been shared at this time, but the case is being handled by the Albuquerque Police Department’s Motors Unit.
