2 dead following 2-vehicle crash on US 380 Chaves County

CHAVES COUNTY, NM – Two people died in a two-vehicle collision on US 380 near mile marker 196 early Thursday morning, according to KRQE.

Charles Johnson, 69, was driving a Chevy east on US 380 when he strayed into the westbound lanes and hit a Kia around 12:10 a.m.

Johnson and his passenger, Heather Morris, 40, died in the wreck.

First responders transported the Kia driver and two of their passengers to the hospital. The extent of their injuries is unknown.

The New Mexico State Police is investigating the incident.

Rollover crash impacts traffic on Interstate 25 in downtown Albuquerque

ALBUQUERQUE, NM – A rollover collision shut down multiple lanes at southbound Interstate 25 and Central Avenue Southeast on Friday morning, according to KOAT.

Emergency crews closed down the area to process the scene.

It is unclear if anyone was hurt in the incident.

Crash shuts down portion of Interstate 25 and US 70 in Las Cruces

LAS CRUCES, NM – According to NMRoads, a section of northbound Interstate 25 and the off-ramp to US 70 was closed due to an accident Friday afternoon.

The incident occurred around 3:13 p.m.

It is unclear if anyone was hurt in the collision.
