ALBUQUERQUE, NM — One person was hospitalized Thursday morning after being hit by a driver in northeast Albuquerque’s Alta Monte area, reports KRQE.
Albuquerque Police were called to the scene near Carlisle Boulevard Northeast and Candelaria Road Northeast, shortly after 6:00 a.m.
The circumstances behind the incident were not immediately clear, but officials said the victim suffered critical injuries and was transported to a nearby hospital.
A section of southbound Carlisle Boulevard was blocked as an investigation was conducted.
