LOS ALAMOS COUNTY, NM — One person was injured Wednesday due to a rollover crash involving a dump truck in Los Alamos, according to KRQE.
The Los Alamos County Police Department said the wreck occurred near the bottom of the truck route along East Jemez Road, at mile marker 9.
The circumstances of the event were not immediately clear, but one person was transported to an area hospital. No information on the severity of their condition has been shared.
A resulting diesel spill in the area prompted a multi-agency response involving the Los Alamos Police, the Los Alamos Fire Department, the Santa Fe Sheriff’s office, and the Los Alamos National Lab’s hazmat team.
Authorities had the truck route shut down in both directions, forcing motorists to find alternate routes.
No other details have been disclosed at this time.
