1 left hurt, APD vehicle catches fire after crash in SE Albuquerque

ALBUQUERQUE, NM — One person was hospitalized Friday morning after a fiery two-vehicle wreck in southeast Albuquerque, reports KOAT.

The Albuquerque Police Department said the accident occurred at the corner of Lomas Boulevard Northeast and Louisiana Boulevard Northeast, northeast of Tingley Coliseum.

It was not immediately clear what caused the collision, but a police vehicle was involved and caught on fire as a result.

A passenger in the other involved vehicle suffered non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to a local hospital.

At this time, no charges have been reported, and no further details have been provided.
