ALBUQUERQUE, NM — One person was fatally injured Wednesday afternoon in a motorcycle accident near northeast Albuquerque’s Candelmen area, reports KOAT.
Albuquerque Police were called to the scene near Eubank Boulevard and Los Arboles Road shortly before 1:00 p.m.
Officials have not disclosed details on the cause of the crash, but a motorcycle struck a light pole near the intersection.
First responders pronounced the victim deceased at the scene.
All northbound and southbound lanes of Eubank Boulevard were closed as the APD investigated.
No additional information has been provided at this time.
An investigation remains ongoing.
