1 killed, 1 injured in crash on Coors Bypass near Cottonwood Mall

ALBUQUERQUE, NM — One person died Tuesday afternoon after a collision that left another injured near Cottonwood Mall in north Albuquerque, according to KOB4.

Albuquerque Police responded to the scene in the 10400 block of the road, near LongHorn Steakhouse and Texas Roadhouse at the mall entrance. Officers arrived on the scene shortly before 3:46 p.m.

Authorities did not indicate the cause of the accident, but one person was pronounced deceased on the scene. First responders transported another person to an area hospital with undisclosed injuries.

As all of northbound Coors Bypass was blocked in the area, motorists were asked to find alternate routes around the scene.
