ALBUQUERQUE, NM — One person died Tuesday morning after a crash that left another person injured on Interstate 40 in east Albuquerque, according to KRQE.
The fatal accident occurred on the eastbound lanes at Eubank Boulevard, near Los Altos Park. It was first reported by KRQE at 8:57 a.m.
Authorities have not shared the sequence of events leading up to the crash, but one person was pronounced deceased at the scene.
First responders transported one other victim to a local hospital. No updates on their condition have been released.
All eastbound lanes were closed in the aftermath of the wreck but were reported reopened by 12:31 p.m.
At this time, Albuquerque Police continues to investigate the collision.
