1 injured in accident on Interstate 40 ramp at Tramway in Albuquerque

ALBUQUERQUE, NM – First responders were called to a multi-vehicle accident in Albuquerque on Saturday morning.

According to a post by Albuquerque Fire Rescue, Engine 12, Rescue 12 and Battalion 2 were dispatched to southbound Tramway Boulevard at the I-40 westbound on-ramp shortly before noon.

Three vehicles were involved in the wreck. One person had to be extricated from one of the vehicles, and was transported by ambulance to an area hospital. The other people involved did not require transport.

Crash with injuries closes Coors Boulevard in both directions

ALBUQUERQUE, NM – The Bernalillo County Sheriff’s Office issued a traffic alert due to a crash Saturday morning in southwest Albuquerque.

The advisory at 12:24 a.m. reported a crash with injuries, though no details were released on who had been hurt or their condition.

Coors Boulevard was closed in both directions at Huseman Place while deputies worked the scene. The intersection was reported to be reopened about three hours later.

Man arrested in crash that killed pedestrian in Albuquerque

ALBUQUERQUE, NM – Albuquerque police said they have made an arrest in connection with a fatal pedestrian accident in 2024, according to KRQE.

 Isaiah Perez was arrested for the incident that happened in the area of Yale Boulevard and Central Avenue. Police said a Mercedes-Benz registered to Perez went through a red light and fatally struck a pedestrian, Christopher Cordova, who was using the crosswalk. The driver then fled the scene.

Officers responding to a domestic dispute earlier this year learned that a man identified as Isaiah Perez admitted hitting someone with his car, and that phone data from Perez from 2024 linked him to the location.

Perez now faces multiple charges, including homicide by vehicle, leaving the scene of an accident (resulting in death/great bodily harm), and tampering with evidence.
