Driver injured in rollover crash on icy roadway in Chaves County

CHAVES COUNTY, NM – The Chaves County Sheriff’s Office released information regarding a weather-related rollover accident that occurred early Saturday morning.

Deputies responded to U.S. Highway 70 NE at about 1:30 a.m. after a vehicle crashed due to ice on the roadway.

The driver sustained minor injuries, and was taken to a local medical facility. No other vehicles were involved.

The sheriff’s office advised motorists to stay home if possible because of the icy roads, and if they did have to travel, to slow down and use extreme caution.

Accident in Albuquerque leaves 1 person critically injured

ALBUQUERQUE, NM – One person was critically injured in a crash in Albuquerque late Wednesday night, according to the Bernalillo County Sheriff’s Office.

A traffic alert posted by the BCSO at 10:26 p.m. stated that deputies responded to the scene at Coors Boulevard SW and Coble Court. One person was transported to UNMH and was reported to be in critical condition.

All lanes of Coors Boulevard were shut down in both directions for the accident investigation.

Northbound lanes of 2nd Street shut down due to crash

ALBUQUERQUE, NM – Drivers were alerted to an accident disrupting traffic in a section of northwest Albuquerque on Wednesday night.

According to an advisory on X from the Bernalillo County Sheriff’s Office at about 10 p.m., a rollover crash occurred in the area of 2nd Street NW and Roehl Road NW.

All northbound lanes of 2nd Street were closed at the intersection while the wreck was being cleared and investigated.
