1 hurt in motorcycle vs truck crash on NM-536 near Cedar Crest

BERNALILLO COUNTY, NM — One person was sent to a hospital  Sunday after a motorcycle collision on New Mexico State Road 536 near Cedar Crest, reports the Bernalillo County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies responded to the scene on a span of the road (Sandia Crest Road) between mile markers 9 and 10. Dispatchers first received the call shortly before 3:03 p.m.

The circumstances behind the event remain undisclosed, but the sheriff’s office said a motorcycle and a truck were involved.

Officials have not confirmed whether the person injured was the motorcyclist, but the patient was transported to a hospital in stable condition.

A section of NM-536 was shut down in the area during the response and investigation.

By 5:49 p.m., the roadway had been reopened.
