ALBUQUERQUE, NM — One person was critically injured Saturday evening in a pedestrian crash on Tennessee Street near east Albuquerque, reports KRQE.
Albuquerque Police were called to the scene at the intersection with Central Avenue, in the city’s International District, at around 8:00 p.m.
Officials have not disclosed details on the cause of the incident, but a pedestrian was rushed to an area hospital in critical condition.
It was not immediately clear whether the driver remained at the scene. No pending charges or citations have been reported at this time.
The public was asked to avoid the area as authorities responded.
The department’s Motor Unit continues to investigate.
