ALBUQUERQUE, NM — Deputies responded to an injury accident late Thursday morning in northeast Albuquerque’s Almaden Valley area, according to the Bernalillo County Sheriff’s Office.
The collision took place at the intersection of Edith Boulevard Northeast and El Pueblo Road Northeast. BCSO officials arrived on the scene shortly before 11:55 a.m.
Though authorities have not detailed the cause of the crash or the parties involved, first responders transported one person to an area hospital with unspecified injuries. It was unclear whether anyone else was hurt.
The intersection was shut down for nearly two hours as crews processed the scene. Motorists were advised to find alternate routes around the area.
At 1:45 p.m., the sheriff’s office announced the reopening of all lanes.
