DOÑA ANA COUNTY, NM — One person was hurt late Tuesday in a crash involving a large animal on New Mexico State Road 9 near Sunland Park, according to CBS4Local.
Officials with the Sunland Park Fire Department first reported the incident at around 10:20 p.m.
No details have been shared regarding the animal involved or the events leading up to the wreck, but one person in the vehicle suffered minor injuries. American Medical Response (AMR) medics transported the patient to an area hospital.
A photo taken at the scene shows significant front-end damage to a red passenger car.
No other vehicles were involved and no further information has been provided at this time.
