ALBUQUERQUE, NM — One person was critically injured Sunday afternoon in a pedestrian crash on Central Avenue Southeast near east Albuquerque, reports Rio Rancho Observer.
The collision occurred at the intersection with Texas Street Southeast, in the city’s Trumball Village neighborhood. Albuquerque Police were called to the scene shortly after 3:00 p.m.
According to authorities, the victim ran into the path of an oncoming vehicle for unknown reasons and was struck.
First responders rushed the patient to a nearby hospital in critical condition.
