
BERNALILLO COUNTY, NM — At least two people were injured early Sunday due to a crash on Bridge Boulevard Southwest in South Valley, according to the Bernalillo County Sheriff’s Office.
The accident occurred on the eastbound lanes at Sunset Road Southwest, in the Five Points neighborhood. First responders arrived on the scene shortly before 1:45 a.m.
Details remain limited, but at the time of the report, crews were working to extricate one injured driver who was trapped in their vehicle.
It was unclear how many vehicles were involved, but the tweet from the sheriff’s office indicates at least two drivers were hurt.
All eastbound lanes of Bridge Boulevard were closed at the intersection during the emergency response. Motorists were warned of delays impacting the area.
