1 dead in 2-vehicle accident near Los Volcanes

ALBUQUERQUE, NM – According to KOAT, one person died in a fatal two-vehicle collision near Los Volcanes Saturday afternoon.

A person driving a gold Toyota Solara was heading southbound on Coors Boulevard Northwest and was turning left onto Bluewater Road Northwest when the driver of a silver Ford Explorer went through the intersection and collided with the passenger’s side of the Toyota.

First responders pronounced a passenger in the Toyota dead at the scene. They transported both drivers and a passenger in the Ford to an area hospital in stable condition.

Authorities do not believe speed or impairment were factors in the crash.

The incident is under investigation by the Albuquerque Police Department’s fatal traffic unit.

Accident reported in South Valley

SOUTH VALLEY, NM – A car accident in South Valley was reported to authorities Saturday evening, according to the Bernalillo County Sheriff’s Office.

The incident occurred at Rio Bravo Boulevard Southwest and 2nd Street Southwest around 6:10 p.m.

It is unclear if anyone was hurt in the incident.

Emergency crews respond to crash near downtown Albuquerque

ALBUQUERQUE, NM – According to APD Traffic, first responders were called to the scene of a traffic accident near downtown Albuquerque Monday morning.

Dispatchers received calls concerning a collision around 6:52 a.m.

The cause of the collision is under investigation.
