OJO ENCINO, NM – One person was killed and another was sent to the hospital following a small plane crash in the Navajo Nation on Saturday afternoon.
According to KOB, the plane, which was carrying two people, crashed at about 1 p.m. near US Highway 550.
One person was pronounced dead at the crash site. Another individual was taken to a local hospital with unknown injuries. Their identities are being withheld at this time.
Federal agencies are working to establish an official cause of the crash.
