1 dead after driver crashes into tree on Kit Carson Road in Taos

TAOS, NM – According to Taos News, police are investigating a deadly single-vehicle collision near Kit Carson Road and Dragoon Lane that occurred May 1.

Marisol Palomino, 25, was driving a Jeep when she lost control and slammed into a tree around 8 a.m.

First responders extricated Palomino from the Jeep. Palomino died shortly afterwards.

Following the collision, crews shut down the area to process the scene.

The Taos Police Department is investigating the incident. They believe speed may have been a factor in the accident.

2 hurt in pedestrian collision near Enchanted Park

ALBUQUERQUE, NM – Two people were hurt in a pedestrian collision near Enchanted Park Sunday, according to KOAT.

A truck driver hit two pedestrians at Chelwood Park Boulevard Northeast and Menaul Boulevard Northeast.

First responders transported both victims to an area hospital. One was admitted in critical condition, and the other is in stable condition.

The Albuquerque Police Department’s fatal crash team is investigating the incident.

Wreck reported near University of New Mexico

ALBUQUERQUE, NM – According to the Bernalillo County Sheriff’s Office, a car accident was reported on the ramp from eastbound Rio Boulevard Southeast to northbound Interstate 25 Sunday evening.

The incident happened around 6:05 p.m.

It is unclear if anyone was hurt in the collision.
