Parnall Law and Big Brothers, Big Sisters of Central New Mexico

Big Brothers Big Sisters

Big Brothers, Big Sisters has always operated under the belief that inherent in every child is the ability to succeed and thrive in life. They are the largest volunteer-supported mentor network in the United States, and strive to create positive relationships that support children facing adversity by providing them with one-to-one relationships that help change their lives for the better. Big Brothers, Big Sisters’ vision is that all children have the opportunity to achieve success in life. Their programs have been proven to have a direct measurable impact on children’s lives through the positive relationships they help create.

Big Brothers, Big Sisters of Central New Mexico helps provide these programs for the children in our community. They match mentors, called “Bigs,” with at-risk kids (“Littles”) who need and want adult guidance, friendship, and support. These matches allow Bigs and Littles to develop bonds through shared interests and activities. Matches are made with children between the ages of 8 and 14, with ongoing support for matches with Littles between the ages of 15 and 18. Adults of all ages, and even high school students, are encouraged to volunteer as Bigs.

Parnall Law Firm is proud to be associated with Big Brothers, Big Sisters of Central New Mexico. Bert served as a Big Brother from 1996 to 2000, and he is still in touch with the family of his “Little.” We continue to support the organization and their programs throughout the year, including contributing to the Big Brothers, Big Sisters annual bowling tournament fundraiser.
