ALBUQUERQUE, NM – Police in Albuquerque said a pedestrian died after being struck by a hit-and-run truck driver last week, according to the Albuquerque Journal.
Investigators said the victim was a woman who was hit Wednesday by a semi tractor-trailer. It happened along Interstate 40 westbound near the ramp for Fourth Street at about 4 a.m.
The woman, whose identity was not immediately released, was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver continued west onto I-40 without stopping to help, police said.
It was not clear whether drugs or alcohol were a factor in the incident. Police are continuing their investigation into the fatal crash.
